update, dirk feelings ahead

i could say a lot of things but instead i am going to talk about dirk

DIRK: I guess I have to be this huge fucking wet blanket as usual because there’s stuff that needs doin’.

like… i dunno this line really upsets me because it brings to mind again that dirk is really underappreciated?

i think when she told him that he was boring that really got to him (he is, after all, a sensitive guy) because he knows he’s not the most enjoyable person to talk to and he knows that AR is engaging and exciting and somehow more charismatic than the actual human

roxy likes him and she knows him and how he is but she thinks he could stand to be more fun!! and that’s not bad but it’s uncomfortable because she’s very blunt

jane likes him but she pretty well thinks of him as the brains and sort of a protector figure and they’re DARLING friends but i don’t think she gets him and i think that puts pressure on him

which is why i like him so much with jake… because dirk is really good at being himself around jake and jake is so excited

jake loves talking to dirk! he loves talking to the real human dirk and he might think dirk is a little wordy or eccentric but he doesn’t care! dirk is his best friend and he appreciates all the words that come out of dirk’s mouth and i just
